Photography
has been a life long passion for me.
Starting early in life with a Kodak Brownie camera, I
developed an interest in nature photography.
Later I bought a 35 mm camera, and as I enjoyed many
vacations with my family, I was also able to continue my
interest in nature photography.
At the same time I was following another interest of mine
for a more stable vocation. I became a Pennsylvania Journeyman
Tool and Die Maker and pursued a Bachelor's Degree from Temple
University. I enjoyed teaching for the Reading Schools for 30
years until my retirement. Presently, and also for the past 18
years I have been the Machine Tool Coordinator for Reading Area
Community College. Now
that I am semi retired I have more time to devote to learning
the new technology of digital photography and the workflow
processes. This
retirement has also given me the time to take photography trips,
attend seminars and workshops, and take online courses.
At this point in my life, the Berks Camera Club is a
valuable asset for me to continue learning the art of
photography. I am
also fortunate to be a member of Gallery 20 located in West
Reading, Pa and exhibit my work in each two month show.
I have also
exhibited my work at the following venues: Canal Street
Restaurant, Cloud
Nine Café, Max Crema’s Café, Wyomissing Institute Of The
Arts, Border’s Books, The Reading Public Museum, The Highlands
Of Wyomissing, and The Grandview Gallery.
