Lynn Millar is a graduate of Kuztown University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Art Education. She has taken additional watercolor, figure study clases and watercolor seminars.

Lynn had exhibited her paintings in art shows since 1977. The shows she has participated in include several invitational shows at the Berks Summer Theater Gallery, Penn State University and the Collowhill Art Gallery in Reading. She participated for six years at the juried Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Chautauqua Society. She has also shown several times at the annual jured show of the Berks Art Alliance, held at the Reading Public Museum in Reading.

Lynn participated from 1989 to 1998 in the “Contemporary American Dog Art Show,” sponsored by the Dog Fanciers Club in New York City, where her painting “Holly in Repose” won the Iris Love Award and was named “Best in Show” for 1993. She also had paintings exhibited in 1991 and 1996 at the “Art Show at the Dog Show,” sponsored by the Sunflower Cluster Dog Shows, Wichita, Kansas (winning fourth place in the watercolor division in 1996). Her painting, “Holly in Motion, Whippet” was selected to ahng in the juried show, “Animal Imagery, 93” at St. Huberts Giralda, Madison, N.J.

Currently a juried member of Gallery 20, she is showing regularly in that West Reading gallery, was well as participating in other local shows (including recent group shows a the Institute of the Arts and Rading Area Community College.

Lynn works in transparent watercolor, pen and ink, cassein, pastel, and pencil. She is best known for her works of children, animals and local scenes, and is currently renewing a previous interest in flowers.

Lynn is employed as a Senior Graphics Designer and Layout Artsist at Boscov’s Department Stores, Reading, PA.
