Art in the Afternoon featuring artist Sandi Turner

A Night of Independent Film Presents "Location, Location"

A cynical Hollywood director scouting locations for his next film is surprised to find that one town’s community pride, quirky characters and awesome locations are just what he needs to create the perfect picture.  "Location, Location" will screen as the next selection of "A Night of Independent Film" at the R/C Reading Movies 11 & IMAX on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m., presented by the Greater Reading Film Festival. The premier screening is free, followed by a Reception at the Goggleworks Center for the Arts at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 and benefit the Greater Reading Film Commission.

Usher In the Holidays with “A Peter White Christmas”

Three of today’s most popular musicians are bringing their jazz-flavored carols to Greater Reading for the holiday season.  “A Peter White Christmas,” featuring jazz sensations Peter White, Mindi Abair and Rick Braun is set for Sunday, Dec. 5, at the RACC/Miller Center for the Arts in downtown Reading. 

There will be two shows, one at 3 p.m. and one at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $39.  All seats are reserved, and only 500 tickets are available for each show.

Berks Jazz Fest Logo21st Annual Berks Jazz Fest Merchandise Logo Contest

All interested artists and art students are eligible to apply.   The winning design will be on thousands of articles of merchandise and promotional items, the festival website and other places as determined.  The winning artist will receive publicity for themselves and their design in the BAC newsletter, the festival tabloid and website.  No cash awards will be given.

 Artists should submit their work by  Monday, September 20.
