Call to Artists: Adams County Arts Council Ninth Annual Juried Art Exhibition 
The Adams County Arts Council is seeking artist submissions for its Ninth Annual Juried Art Exhibition that runs from June 1 to June 17. The exhibition juror is Rene Trevino, Exhibitions Coordinator at School 33 Art Center in Baltimore and adjunct faculty at both Maryland Institute College of Art and Towson University. The 18th Annual Art on the Avenue is a juried fine arts and crafts festival featuring national and regional artists showing and selling their creations on Penn Avenue in West Reading, Pennsylvania. The event appeals to both novice buyers and experienced art patrons, and each year thousands of people are drawn to Arts on the Avenue as it continues to grow. Call to Artists: Mayfair Festival of the Arts 
Mayfair Festival of the Arts in Allentown is a five-day festival that runs over Memorial Day weekend from Thursday, May 24 through Monday, May 28. For those five days, Mayfair will transform Allentown's scenic Cedar Beach Park into a kaliedoscope of sights, sounds, and smells. The festival features an Artist Market, Culinary and Garden Markets, an Emerging Artist Program, and Jury Awards. The festival is currently seeking artists. Call to Artists: New Arts Program 23rd Invitational Salon of Small Works 
A salon-style show that runs from May 25 through July 15 and features over 230 wall works by artists from around the country, each represented by one small, recent work in a diversity of styles and media. Videos have also become a growing attraction at the Invitational Salon. The show has been exceptional every year and is always a highlight of the season. GoggleWorks Center for the Arts will hold the first arts festival READING on Saturday and Sunday, October 20-21, 2012. The show will include more than 70 juried artists, GoggleWorks studio artists, music, performing arts, and food. The festival will take place inside the main GoggleWorks building and the hot glass studio. Proceeds will benefit the GoggleWorks.

Muhlenberg Arts Gallery
The MUHLENBERG TOWNSHIP ARTS BOARD is seeking artists to display their work at the Muhlenberg Art Gallery located inside the Muhlenberg Township Building (5401 Leesport Avenue; Temple, PA 19560). The gallery is open to the public on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is no fee to display artwork and pieces may be available for sale. Everything must be hangable. (The wall measures approximately 22 feet in length.)

Mentoring and the Arts Program Seeking Mentors
The Mentoring and the Arts Program is seeking mentors for at-risk youth ages 10-18. Arts experience is encouraged, but not necessary. Individual is responsible for aiding during group hours, scheduling weekly meetings with mentees, participating in special events, and providing monthly reports consisting of detailed case notes. Individual must be responsible and willing to commit to program. Must be available to work on a Wednesday evening.
Both positions require Act 151 clearances, a criminal background check, and a PA Driver’s License.

Goggleworks has Studio Space
Applications for studio space in the GoggleWorks are now being accepted from artists who are serious about pursuing their art in the professional setting of a community facility. Studios are intended to be for working artists and although artists may display and sell work from their studios, the primary function of the studio is to create art. Studios at the GoggleWorks will be awarded to artists of merit as selected by the GoggleWorks Artist Selection Committee.

Second Tuesday at Boyertown's Hard Bean Cafe each month features "Sharing Poetry," an open mic and group discussion at 7:00 pm for poets and prose writers to share their own original works or those of their favorite writer. Works may include narrative poetry, autobiographical memoirs composed in rhyming and free verse. Group meetings occur monthly.
