Save the Arts in Pennsylvania!

State funding for arts and culture has been eliminated from the PA Senate's budget bill. Loss of state funds would be crippling to the creative sector during these tough times. Show your support for arts and culture by writing your legislators today!

Greater Reading
Film Festival
Call for Entries

The Greater Reading Film Festival is looking for entries to their upcoming festival Nov. 5-9, 2009. Feature-length and short films are accepted, with cash prizes awarded in all categories. They are especially interested in high-school and college student films, as well as films from filmmakers that would be interested in attending the festival (Reading, PA is located 1 hr. NW of Philadelphia, and 2.5 hrs from NYC, easily accessible by bus.)

Filmmakers can sign up for the festival at Withoutabox, and Berks County filmmakers can receive an entry waiver by emailing Beth Renfro or Matthew Serio  and mentioning this post – please sign up your film as usual, check the waiver information, and email them separately to receive the waiver. They will manually enter your film. You may also email them with any questions or for more information.
