Berks Arts presents the 22nd annual Frank Scott Memorial Art Show: The Art of Jazz in the Schmidt Gallery at the GoggleWorks in February and the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading in March of 2026.

Founded in 2005, The Art of Jazz honors the legendary local jazz musician Frank Scott. The Art of Jazz exhibits annually in coordination with Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest. Submission is open to artwork in all media. Accepted artwork will be announced mid-February.

Meet the 2026 Juror: Emily Edelstein

Emily Edelstein is the Executive Director of CraftNOW Philadelphia, a non-profit that unites, supports and celebrates the craft community of the city through education, curation and economic development.  In that role, she works with artists, museums and businesses across Philadelphia to promote contemporary craft, with programs including youth education, November’s CraftMONTH, an academic symposium, and career development for artists. 

Emily is a lifelong student of craft.  She has varied hands-on experience, including boatbuilding and blacksmithing, with a personal focus on fiber arts.  Emily studied at the John C. Campbell Folk School and the Penland School of Crafts.  She holds a BA in Global Studies from Penn State University, and a MS in Arts Administration from Drexel University, where her thesis explored the role of craftspeople within the modern American art world.  Emily previously served as the Interim Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
